Island Inspiration: Bathroom Makeover Moodboard

(source)
Right now I can only dream of having my own Caribbean outdoor shower/getaway, so the next best thing is to create my own version of it... from the sheltered comfort of my home in good ol' Ohio, :) Keep reading to check out my inspiration board for making over my new bathroom and view pics of my bathroom before the soon-to-be makeover.
These are the items I’ve selected as inspiration for my bathroom makeover. (See below the pic for links to where you can find these items.) Some of these items I plan on buying and some I will recreate in my own frugal, DIY way.

Here are some photos I snapped of my bathroom when I first moved in. Since I’m a renter, I can’t make any renovations to the room. But no worries, as my last edition of Get Your Color On! unknowingly prepared me for decorating with yellow. Funny how the universe works, huh?
This vintage bathroom just wouldn’t be complete without some kind of funky design I couldn’t change, right? (Remember my mint green bathroom from the last apartment?) This is the pattern on the sink’s countertop:
At first, I considered creating a similar design on a shower curtain to tie it together. But since the pattern is a bit faded, I decided not to attract more attention to it. It’s not as bad this way.
What do you think of my tropical bathroom makeover board? Would you ever use an outdoor shower? How would you decorate your fantasy bathroom? Or do you already have your ideal bathroom?

I love all of our ideas, and of course, your attempt to complete them with a tight budget and some diy craftiness. I enjoy your posts so much. I can’t wait to see the transformation.
Thanks for the comment! You always have such kind words.
So sorry. Your! your! Not ‘our’. Still, you understood. 😀
Great ideas, of course! I have used an outdoor shower in Florida, with a little frog on the wall. Guess he liked the moisture there. You can come over and redo my bathroom…. I’m allowed to make changes here. Thanks for the blogging!
Sure, first the kitchen, then the bathroom! I’ll have to start charging a fee! 🙂 Thanks for the comment!
I love your ideas!! And what a description of that tropical, carefree get-away! Some green plants will be a great start to your tropical bathroom – a cheap and easy way to get started on your dream bathroom!
